Battery Retrofit Options

Some hybrid or battery-ready inverters can accept a compatible battery without replacing the inverter.

If the existing inverter cannot support a battery, it may be replaced with a battery-ready hybrid inverter. This allows the solar panels and new battery to operate through one coordinated system.

An AC-coupled battery may be installed alongside certain existing solar systems without replacing the original solar inverter. Suitability depends on the site, equipment and required functionality.
