Monitoring Setup & Transfer

Take back visibility and control of the solar system you own.

If your monitoring app is offline, was never configured properly or remains registered to an installer or previous homeowner, you may have no reliable way to see whether the system is generating.

Solar Support helps recover, transfer and configure access across many of the monitoring platforms used with solar inverters and batteries in Ireland. The exact process depends on the brand, account status and manufacturer rules.

Common Monitoring Problems

1
The app stopped updating after a Wi-Fi or router change
2
You were never given the login details
3
The system is registered to the original installer
4
You bought a home and cannot access the solar account
5
The inverter appears online but no data is displayed
6
The data logger or communications module is offline
7
Battery information is missing or incorrect
8
A discontinued installer still controls the plant account

What We Can Help With

Account Transfers Can Require Evidence

Manufacturers take account security seriously. A transfer may require serial numbers, photographs of equipment labels, proof of property ownership, permission from the current account holder or contact with the original installer. Solar Support can guide and support the process, but the manufacturer controls its own platform and final approval.

Wi-Fi Problems Versus Solar Faults

An offline app does not always mean the solar system has stopped generating. The inverter may continue to operate locally while its internet connection is down. Equally, a live app does not prove every part of the array is performing correctly. We separate communications issues from equipment and performance faults so the right problem is addressed.

Before You Contact Us

Photograph the inverter, battery and data-logger labels
Note the brand and model numbers
Send a screenshot of the app or error message
Provide any usernames or account email addresses associated with the system
Tell us when the data last updated and whether broadband equipment changed
If you recently bought the property, provide the available handover information

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you recover a forgotten password?

If the account belongs to you, the platform’s normal recovery process is the first step. Where the system is registered elsewhere or the account cannot be identified, a formal transfer or manufacturer support route may be needed.

Can you transfer monitoring from a previous homeowner?

Often yes, subject to the manufacturer’s process and suitable evidence or permission.

Can you take over an installer account?

We cannot simply take over another party’s account. We can help establish the correct owner access or support a plant transfer using the manufacturer’s authorised procedure.

Will changing broadband stop the solar panels working?

Usually it affects monitoring rather than generation, but the exact behaviour depends on the equipment. We can confirm whether the inverter is still operating and reconnect the communications where possible.
